Ironic, I literally went through 14 remotes, looking for the one that works an old Magnavox DVD player. I found one that has Magnavox on it, but doesn’t seem to work the player. There is another remote that uses those coin like batteries. It may be the one. But do I want to invest my time and money to find out? We were watching a DVD last night and it kept sticking on a frame. So I hooked up the Magnavox to another TV and it played the DVD with no problem; I just had to work everything from the player itself.

I have found that Universal Remotes aren’t always so universal….kind of like one-size-fits-all.
