Not being a cat person, I’m not sure of this, but do cats go out of their way to sleep in the sun?

@Argythree: and some cats will seek out the furnace outlet vents also to bogart the warmth.
They like sun but if it’s very hot and humid they seek a cooler spot. My kitties prefer the hard wood floor on a hot day to my comfortable bed or chair which is their normal resting spot.
