There’s action in “Mark Trail”? Then it sure has changed in the 40-plus years since I last read it. (I seem to recall a grizzly attack. OK, I guess that has to count.)
Eno does a lot of important things, Breath, drink, breath, talk to a dog, breath, drink. You try it. And Fang talks back after enough breathing and drinking.
Runs with Beer, yeah, I think their names were Sam and Ralph.
(Actually, it was a wolf in those cartoons rather than a coyote, but he was nearly indistinguishable from Wile E.; not quite so skinny, if I recall correctly.)
