Getting harder to pretend that it’s the will of the people:“Turned off by the partisan wars in Washington, 39 percent of voters now identify themselves as independent rather than affiliated with one of the two major political parties, according to a 2014 analysis by the Pew Research Center. Self-identified Democrats accounted for 32 percent of the electorate, Republicans 23 percent.”

This should be a really interesting GOP convention. It might be the best entertainment show of the year. It is hard to imagine any clear consensus coming out of it.

The Republican race remains on track for a contested convention this summer, during which pretty much anything could happen. But we don’t have to wait until July for our first peek at the chaos. The RNC is convening in Florida and it is already exposing the fault lines that are likely to crack wide open in Cleveland. Watch for things to get even more politically charged as we get closer to Cleveland.

^ Yes and all of a sudden Republicans have taken these saying out of context and made them rules. “Rules” never voted on..“The Senate will continue to observe the Biden Rule so that the American people have a voice in this momentous decision” on who to name to the court, McConnell said in a March 16 speech on the floor of the Senate.".Biden’s floor speech was on June 25, 1992, more than three months later in the election cycle than it is now..There was no Supreme Court vacancy to fill..There was no nominee to consider..The Senate never took a vote to adopt a rule to delay consideration of a nominee until after the election..Nonetheless, Biden took to the floor in a speech addressing the Senate president to urge delay if a vacancy did appear. But he didn’t argue for a delay until the next president began his term, as McConnell is doing. He said the nomination process should be put off until after the election, which was on Nov. 3, 1992..http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/mar/17/context-biden-rule-supreme-court-nominations/..hypocrisy: the behavior of people who do things that they tell other people not to do : behavior that does not agree with what someone claims to believe or feel. a feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially : the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion..One must act contrary to what one says.

Does anyone know why the elephant symbol for the GOP Changed the stars from the normal star with it;s point at the top to the stars with the point going down?On this it’s not so clear but at some time, it was easy to see .

Something’s wrong with the Republican logo. The stars are upside down. Five-sided stars that point upwards—like those on the Democratic donkey and the American flag—traditionally symbolize the forces of good. An overturned pentagram, however, represents the goat’s head of Satan and the forces of evil—and there are three on the Republicans’ elephant.

GOP party of the Satanists, no wonder they hate everyone and everything.

Yes, you are right it was George H.W. Bush. So you DO know what this is about and how disingenuous it is to use this as a basis to block even a vote. I got the wrong president, the Republicans have the wrong precedent.

They’ve either forgotten ancient symbology or the Masons are coming out of the closet.
