So does that mean in the first panel he saw the two of spades, then the Ace in the second panel to bring it up to three spades, then the four of spades in the third to make seven? If he’d said fourteen spades I think Snoopy would have had a heart attack.

Perhaps Snoopy thinks he means "spayed’ rather than spade.
