Kasich is actually playing a game of poker in this election—if you look at how he actually ran Ohio, you would find a lot of problems with the way he ran things as governor. The biggest problem was how it was legal for people in Ohio to take out “Stranger-Owned-Life-Insurance policies (”STOLI") and that many companies, including Wal-Mart, were taking out STOLI’s on their employees so that if they died during the policy periods, the employer could cash in.The other problem that Ohio had was that Kasich helped make the state profitable by taking on other states’ welfare cases. For instance, when the state of New Mexico outsourced their welfare department to for-profit third-party contractors, they wound up shipping that state’s welfare cases out to Ohio where they thought it was cheaper.Ohio also became a “dumping ground” for a lot of the midwest’s poor and indigent, especially their MediCare recipients and when those folks died, the State of Ohio Attorney General’s Office then embarked on collecting that debt on the surviving relatives, some of whom never understood why the State of Ohio was involved like this.Ohio has some problems, and I’m only “scratching the surface”.
Cruz, Trump and Kasich are beginning months of trench warfare for Republican delegates, which could culminate in a wide-open contested convention in July. Kasich is hoping for an open convention and will tout his ability to win a general election as he campaigns. Both Cruz and Trump have called for him to exit the race. He is gambling that neither of his opponents will be able to clinch the nomination before the convention. Rather than admit their own electoral and political shortcomings, Cruz and Trump are blaming Kasich, the only Republican who can defeat Clinton in November.

Not a thing, John. You’ll not get it, but you’ll keep showing what a generally normal conservative is.

Saying Kasich is the sanest republican is not much of a recommendation,
Kasich is the sanest of the bunch, but gop doesn’t do sane anymore.
