Clinton is the one who made China a most favored trade partner, not Obama. He also signed the North American Free Trade Act that caused corporations to send all the jobs out of the country. And now Hillary is promising to create new jobs. What goes around…..
It was a wise political move to make the deal with Cuba. Rumor had it that China was going to buy Cuba as a storage facility for production goods going to the U.S. China also planned to extend the shores about 5 miles outward on all sides with non-biogradable plastic from the Sargasso Sea. Plus harness the energy from the Gulf Stream. And … and clone Fidel Castro.
Since when do cargo ships fly a US flag. Most are either the national flag of the country owning that shipping country, or a “flag of convenience” which does not enforce the laws protecting seamen (or passengers). Look at all those cruise liners that are always having trouble, no Stars and Stripes on there fantail.
Well, Obama could be trying to promote this radically apparently unheard of new idea of promoting peace. And I daresay we could use a bit more of that in the world, both at home and abroad.
The US stopped free trade with China after Tiananmen Squareand then reinstated it the day after Bush’s Shock and Awe invasion of the mid east when no one was paying attention.

It’s important to note where the ships are registered, as noted on the stern under the name, not just the flags.
Florida’s sugar cane production altered much of the state, and they have lots of Cubans to hire right there!

Nixon went to China and is lauded, Obama goes to Cuba and is damned. The GOP must have chiropractors on retainer to untangle their twisted positions.
