Agreeing with Cerabooge, there: brain’s firmly in gear and backing Bernie. Heart’s been broken too many times to be that much involved (but the dam’ thing’s hopeful yet—).
Bernie says he wants to do campaign finance reform. In plain English he wants to get the big money donations (bribes) out.
One example: He wants to end citizens united (corporations are people but with super sized rights)
He is the only one, The others don’t even admit there is a problem with all of our representatives being beholden to moneyed interests. Trump may have alluded to it, but Bernie flat out said it is his top goal.

If he accomplishes that & nothing else, our government will begin correcting itself.
The working class will never get anyone representing them, no common sense laws, no smart trade deals, no end to unnecessary wars, etc. as long as campaign finance remains corrupt.
Betcha I pay more taxes in 6 months than you earn in a whole year, just like the more progressive blue states support the regressive red states. Yet somehow, I want a bunch of those taxes to go to feed the poor, expand subsidized day care and early education, expand federally funded basic research, repair and upgrade our infrastructure, regulate pollution, expand our diplomacy while reducing our military, fight climate change, and so on.
My brain backed Hillary, but my heart Bernie, because I didn’t think Bernie could beat the Republicans. That was six months ago. Now, Real Clear Politics polls show that Hillary would lose to every Republican except Trump. BERNIE WOULD BEAT THEM ALL. So nice when my heart and my brain both agree on which lever my hand should pull.
I like Bernie, though he is a tad old and repetitive, and HIllary is very qualified, but I too don’t like her personality, though she has stuck to her spouse when things got rough, unlike Trump.
The Republican attacks are indeed as phony on Hillary as saying her DNA was on the knife found at OJ’s house, which many comedians have noted as a joke, but could well be expected from Rubio, Cruz, or Trump.

No conflict between head and heart with me; they both strongly support Bernie.

For Trump and Cruz it’s all “Rocky Mountain oysters” and bombing people while stealing from the poor to give to the rich. There IS a difference.

If you are young and vote Republican you have no heart. If you are old and vote Republican you have no brain.

That was my initial reaction.

I want an emoji that expresses the explosive laugh that Chris Matthews is infamous for, so I can use it for occasions like this. ;^)
