Having experienced almost fatal side effects with a new drug, I’ve pretty much decided I’m not going to take a new drug again. Once it has been on the market long enough for a generic, hopefully there will be more evidence by then, of whether it will negatively affect me. Not that I’m against the pharmaceutical companies coming up with new drugs, my husband is in a research study for one that seems promising. However, not every adverse side effect can be found during the research study. (My new disability seems to be due to one bad gene combined with that particular medication.)
