I truly can’t wait until the first official vote is cast, then we see who is really “the people’s choice” and who is just a road accident that folks just can’t quit staring at. Or Circus Buffoon.
The Establishment doesn’t like him because the Establishment can’t control him. Worse, they can’t buy him and lead him around by the nose. A whole lot of rich power brokers have been rendered ineffective. How can they control destiny if they can’t buy politicians? The next question is would an independent political Trump do better, or be a loose cannon? A lot of voters and growing think the former.
Your right on this, a republic is what the democrats try to maintain, a constitutional democracy is what the conservative/corporations are trying to achieve. (don’t be so condescending about someones level of education it you do not know what a constitutional democracy is. Shows you know less then you think you do)
As shown here the Republicans have chosen their (ring) leader – and they ended up as part of the circus. Which is right where they have always wanted to be. Come on – let’s wreck this thing together!
Notice that Lisa recognizes the tusks are gone, and the former old elephant is now a toothless creature, also neutered by the rightist wingnuts, since Ike, actually. He was a progressive, and did a lot for the country being socially liberal and fiscally conservative, by his own admissions, last of a dying breed.
Trump & Cruz in particular are both a mad creation of the Frankenstein party aka GOP. Their monsters apparently won’t listen to their master & are running amok terrifying people. If Trump can’t stand up to Fox & Megyn Kelly how is he going to handle Hillary if he is the nominee ?

Is it too much to hope that Trump will follow the circus elephants into political oblivion?
