Man: I was robbed on Metro. Police Officer: Details? Man: The train was late. Then the one I got on had broken doors and was taken out of service .The next one was overcrowded. I was an hour late. The elevator didn't work and I walked up a broken escalator. I paid full fare.

Afraid public transportation can indeed be hamstrung. No one wants the job so when you find someone, you don’t dare let them go…no matter how awful the employee may be.

Did the station name say “Embarcadero”, “19th Street Oakland” or “Dublin-Pleasanton East”?
If so, you weren’t on Metro, you were on BART.

Some people don’t take the Metro, they don’t even own a car or drive. They have a chauffeur.
