The total opposite of what should be done. I blame anti-sex religion for it and most unplanned births. Sex Ed, explicit and soberly taught along with abstinence for those few who will covers all bases and is the most effective. Abstinence alone fails more than it is successful.
I had my son pretty well convinced that he wouldn’t get his driver’s license until he was 35. He was pretty surprised when, at 16, I suggested we start the process. He was a smart boy, though: kept his mouth shut and got while the getting was good.

Why do parents have the silly notion that sex requires a date. Teenage hormones are quite capable of getting around such nonsense.
