Upstate NY, we never had a snow day for 6 inches of snow, at least 12-18 inches with more to come, as in no stop in snow falling that the plows couldn’t keep up – otherwise we went to school. Moved to NE TN in 1995 first winter we had a total of 60 inches of snow (unusual for this area) kids missed 22 days of school. I might of had that many snow days Total in 5 or 6 years of school, if lucky, growing up
