The Beandocks Cuco: How can Cleveland police not be indicted for shooting 12-year-old Tamir Rice in cold blood for having a toy gun? Ohio is an open carry state. Eddie: Certain citizens only have 3/5th rights to openly carry.
Boy, is this spot-on!I’m just going to say again that in less than two seconds, that murderer couldn’t have had time to say “Drop the weapon” and draw his own as they practically ran over the kid. He got there prepared to kill.
The news reports I’m seeing indicate that the cops saw Rice go for his waistband. A lot of folks who carry illegal weapons do indeed try to conceal them by simply sticking them in their waistband, and so since the cops had been told he was “armed” they’d have had every reason to believe he was going for a weapon.
Where were his parents? Why was he allowed to carry a realistic-looking gun and think it was okay to point it at people, which caused the police emergency call? If you want to indict the cops, put the parents in the dock beside them.
If cops roar up on you, driving across the grass, while you’re flashing a realistic-looking pistol, why isn’t your first instinct to drop it and/or raise your hands?
And with ISIS-inspired crazies shooting up the countryside and ambushing police, cops’ reactions are only going to be MORE hair-triggered.

According to Republicans/Fox “news” viewers, that’s exactly the way the Founding Fathers intended.
