The Prince of Peace didn’t plan it this way, but last night the FOX News in-house minister had it rationalized that killing, maiming, and religious discrimination were quite okay when we do it, complete with bible passages and smug, self-righteous smile.
Monotheism of the “book” has led to over 30,000 Christian sects, Judaism and it divisions, and Islam again divided, and the singular theme comes out to be “kill anyone who doesn’t buy my version”, and of course “God” does all the killing, humans are just his instruments.
Not that I’m a scholar, but most peaceful Muslims claim that jihad also means to wage a metaphorical war on the evil that is within oneself by becoming a better Muslim, not by commiting murder.
@dtroutma-I like your comment. Makes me think of George Carlin’s gag:- It’s all in how you answer the God question.Do you believe in God?No-BANGDo you believe in God?YesDo you believe in my God?No-BANGMy god has a bigger **** than your god.
But is it accurate to think that all Muslims are followers of jihad any more than it is to think that all Christians are followers of the Westboro Baptist Church?
