These guys must be the jokers . . .

Depending on the kind of deck, it could have 54 cards, counting two Jokers.

It’s been a very long time since I saw/heard the word “oleo.”

If playing cards depends on any of these people counting to 52, they’ll never play. And anyway, six of them are stuck together with donut jelly from the last time. (The cards, I mean, although it could apply to Burl and Dale, too, and Jerry’s always a bit sticky.)
