I lived in New Jersey for a while when back in the Navy and there was a large black squirrel that lived in the tree next to our house. My wife’s cat kept trying to attack it. The squirrel would just set in one spot on a limb and wait for the cat to get to it and then roundhouse punch the cat right out of the tree. It happened over and over. That dumb cat never did learn to leave it along before I moved away from there over a year later. He got knocked out of that tree at least once a week
