Only 7% of the student body is black, but most of the football players are. That’s true of a lot of colleges and universities. Which, as football and sports are such big earners, why shouldn’t the playes be paid, they’re already semi-pros. Hmm but if they’re NOT getting paid (I know, all those scholarships.) wouldn’t that be that old south economic model?
By the way, Chip, I don’t want to derail your little hatefest, but are you aware that grad students often get generous stipends? Because you obviously have no idea what goes on at colleges, and so you might not know that some students are, in fact, paid to go there.
