Woman says, "We're the most advanced bank around--- our computer knows absolutely everything about you!" Frank says, "Really? Does it know which bank I'm switching my account to?"
Fung, not entirely. 1984 was based on the notion that computers would remain so expensive that only governments could afford them. Personal computing made that impossible. True, the information is out there (search on your own name for an example) but it’s not under any one entity’s control.
Good one! Although I will admit how creepy it is how much is known about us. And the sad thing is that the younger generation doesn’t seem to care – they volunteer more information about themselves and give up more privacy than everyone else, and they think it’s normal. Although, I think now that some are getting bitten by what they put on Facebook, there will be some withdrawal soon.
i prefer the Credit Union i’ve used since childhood to any of the banks. don’t get nickel & dimed to death by fees for everything including doing nothing. and i wish the spammers would go away.
He must be at Chase. After they took over WAMU they started dinging for every little thing. They outsource there calls overseas so I finally switched to BECU. I switched my mortgage from Chase & the only requirement is to be a Washington State resident. Excellent service & better interest rates to boot

Good line, Frank. Well done. (Even if he has little or no money to switch).

Unfortunately: TOO TRUE! EVERYTHING one does is on record somewhere. “1984” has come true!
