Nobody wants the job because they will be doomed to failure because of the forty or so tea party conservatives who are bound and determined to have their way no matter what else they screw up. Instead of being a place to come together in compromise the House has become a war zone. In the end we all suffer because our government might as well shut down for all the good they are doing.
^ Not a bad idea Ted…except they expect to be paid for doing nothing. Knocking a few heads together won’t help either. Those Tea Party members are bound to see this country fail.
It was Bush who went into Afghanistan learning nothing from the Russian misadventure, and he also invaded Iraq, kicked out the Sunni, Ba’athists, Army and police, letting them take their guns to set up ISIL, that was brilliant strategy.
But as to herding, Republicans have their chickenhawks well under control, sort of, some days.
It is interesting that the TEA putty remains a minority strangling the majority, just as modern “conservatism” mandates.
And a year or two ago the Democrat line was that the Republicans were evil because they acted in lock step. There’s not right answer with you is there?
The party line was to say no to Obama, the Democrats, healthcare, education, social rights, infrastructure development, the environment, gun regulation, etc. Now they are fighting the Speaker and fighting themselves. You reap what you sow.
Perhaps not. If so, then you are an odd man out, as the left made a lot of hay over that point only a few years ago..If true, I tip my hat to you for your consistency at least.

Most Republicans think for themselves and often disagree about the details of policy. Democrats think what ever their leadership tells them to think.
