And wich way will the wind blow next?
After all remember what he said about Petraeus when he was just a lowly senator.
Two faced,lieing,rotten,rat b@ztred.
Several years ago, Senator Obama was not criticizing Petraeus personally in congressional hearings. He was questioning whether the cost of the war and loss of life were justified by potential benefits. Sounds like he was doing his job.
Thanks for the youtube - I had heard excerpts but not the complete question / statement. He didn’t say the surge didn’t, won’t, or never will work. He did say the surge had some success, but questioned whether it was worth the investment. I saw nothing there that would poison the relationship between Petraeus and Obama. If anything, I would think Obama’s in-depth and articulate evaluation of the situation, as it existed at that time, would garner respect. Three years later things probably do look a bit different, but not much. And yes, Obama’s loquaciousness doesn’t fit a seven minute time slot very well. Typical loudmouth, publicity seeking politician? Not the way I see it.

Obama, and the rest of us, are confused because Bush and the GOP have gotten into a war where there is no way out.
STRANGELY THIS IS A WIN/WIN FOR THE GOP!
If we stay they blame Obama for the loses, if we (AS WE SHOULD) leave they blame Obama for losing the war.
Of course our troops continue to die, but that is a small price that the GOP is willing to pay to get back into power.
