I’m afraid this could be the end for Uncle Walt. Looks like he might be headed for the Old Comics’ Home.

Oh my!! I hope this means we are going to have an arc at the Old Comics Retirement Home :-)

Welll … there’ve been about a half-dozen false alarms and close calls for the Old Comics’ Home and Walt over the last several years. But unless Scancarelli’s admitting to ditching the strip’s aging in real time, it had better be soon: Walt’s already the fourth or fifth oldest person in the world, and no lower than the fourth oldest verified man in history.

How did Mutt know that Walt was at Skeezix’ house?

Be cool to visit the old comics home. more fun.

I’ve been following this strip since the ‘60s, and y’gotta love Walt, but it really is time for him to be re-united with Phyllis and the old gang. Surely there’s a gentle story-line to send him off to that Good Night. And Skeezix is already in his mid-90s…

Reality check about his age notwithstanding, I hope this isn’t “transition time”. No matter what kind of spin you put on it, it’s a sad occasion.
