Uncalled for, HOWGOZIT? Where did you serve? Danziger served on the ground in Vietnam (yes, “in”) as an Intelligence officer and linguist, and was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal in 1970. And for a guy who diddled with the facts for political purposes and failed to manage his own troops in a counterinsurgency war (which he is supposedly expert in) is McChrystal really who we want leading in Afghanistan?

^^……….Because every time your psycho rambling gets a little too obvious and you have no hope in hell of excusing yourself out of your lunacy…..Rikosharabbit to another poster at Catalino on 6/23.

Pot meek Kettle (regarding this post).

Great point. This frightens me. It does not look good as to what happened to Tillman. Look up and read facts in this case. He is among many Atheist persons being targeted.

McChrystal covered up the Tillman death. That is only 1 instance of his untrustworthiness and arrogance.

rabbit, I know that I am not going to take the Huff Post on their word for what actually happened, just as you would not take the word of Fox News. Maybe it wasn’t friendly fire, but I am not going to believe some conspiracy theory (such as Pat learned the war was a scam and because he played in the NFL he had to be executed) without some solid facts pointing to that wild scenario.

As far as what are we accomplishing there, I believe we are accomplishing SHlT there. I wanted to be out of there and Iraq a long time ago. It has been a waste of lives and money, and I was not that thrilled when Obama sent 30K troops in there for a surge.

I am sure you are right about the Russians thoughts on the hellhole of rock.

When I first heard Tillman had signed up I knew he was doomed. I believe he was used as a poster boy. Both before his death ( under some very odd circumstances ) and after in an attempt to paint him as a hero , when in fact it is entirely likely his superiors were afraid he wasn’t on board with their rhetoric.

Tillman spread his life too thin with too many hot topics. Had he lived he would have contributed much to our world.

The truth will probably never be known. Who knows what goes on between soldiers of different outlook thrown together in pressure situations? Accidently killed in the confusion of engagement, or one of his “buds” saw an opportunity to settle a score?

loose lips sink ships. of course this ship has already sunk and is moored in the sea of oil and blood.

Obama knows that if he fires him he’ll be a right wing hero, ripe for political stagecraft.

just look at McChrystal’s eyes in any photo. He’s already dead.

I understand President Obama firing McChrystal over the things McChrystal said to insult our President and our country, I guess McChrystal doesn’t have that right to vent his opinions to the public. He should have vented to President in person not out to the media.

What happened with the cover up of Tillman death? Did anyone have to pay up for that? It seemed to go all the way up the chain of command for a short time.

it would be difficult for me to believe that McChrystal would say the things he carelessly told the rolling stone to the president’s face, or to biden’s, or to eikenberry’s or to holbrooke’s

“IF the weapon was an M-16 on full auto. as described in the above written summary that pattern would be nearly impossible.”

Most combat weapons have a 3 shot setting

What had he done to deserve that? Too many hot topics from religion to the War that he had his opinions. Someone must have been affraid of his influence on this world. Who knows what was going on in his unit. Frightening! Hope this isn’t pushed under the rug.
