I put my dirty clothes in garbage bags and go to the laundry. When they are empty, I fill them up with dirty clothes and go to the laundry, repeat.

Why fold underwear? You reach in the drawer of unfolded underwear and remove one. Or you reach in the drawer of folded underwear and remove one. See? Same thing.

I fold my socks, underwear, undershirts, belts, ties, everything; and placed them in an organized fashion in my drawers.
My suits and shirts are hung systematically as well. I also have a coat closet that goes from heaviest to lightest.
