Thanks, Lizzie, for cleaning up that phone. LOL!

C’mon, plus4, that’s the problem with all comic characters or else they wouldn’t be amusing. Cathy is a much better example of one-dimensional caricatures representing specific issues. This comic is much better than that one.

How did Elly convince herself that Ted was OK?

Nelly55, I enjoyed that too. It’s almost as if this is two comics in one.

Ugh! Ted is such a prevert! He had terrible ego brain and chauvinist. Tell Connie to try with Ted and let her see by herself whether if she likes him or not. If they will end up in the bed. let Connie figure out if she like him or not. whatever! I am sure Connie will eventually dump Ted for no good sex. (chuckled laugh!)

How on earth did John ever convince Elly to go along with the insane idea of Ted house-sitting for them while they’re gone for just a 2-week vacation?!?!?! I’d have to take every bra, nightgown and pair of underwear with me that I own because I’d be afraid that chauvinistic pervert would be touching and smelling them the entire time I was gone!!!!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!

Bear in mind that when these strips FIRST appeared, guys like Ted were a lot more common than they are now. If he strikes us as a caricature now, it’s partly because that sort of attitude isn’t winked at anymore…

why iran? from what i’ve read, women there are pretty assertive now. or is that another difference from the time the strip first appeared?

Don’t fool yourself. There are just as many guys like Ted today. Just as there are just as many hard up females like Connie today.
