I generally like these cartoons, but this one is just dumb. Not only has “going postal” never been “allowed”, but it always involved coworkers, not customers.
My sister used to work for USPS. At one of her stops along the career, she had a postmaster who took extreme exception to the use of the term “going postal.” I asked, “You mean he goes postal if someone says, ‘going postal’?”
