That back pack will never hold all of that stuff.

Just wait until the kid tries to carry all of this in his/her backpack. The marines would be proud of him/her.

I thought pluggers were supposed to be out of this load by now. At least my kids are all grown and independent.

Actually had to take a 4 wheel folding cart to haul my kid’s stuff in last year. Thing is, about half the stuff came back in about a month after school started.Something like this one in the link.http://www.walmart.com/ip/Easy-Wheels-Super-Shopping-Cart-White-1ct/17688911

I carry less stuff in my pack when I’m on my two weeks National Guard duty.

Overkill. Wasteful. Unnecessary. No wonder US citizens are hated by the world. We’re a bunch of gluttonous pigs we are. And why are the grandparents buying this pile-o-crap? Are the parents responsible for ANY aspect of their child’s upbringing? No, it’s the school’s problem; the daycare’s problem; everybody else’s but the parent. Personal Responsibility: a rare trait to be found these days……

IDK, but the Sunday paper had a spread on back to school clothing. Holy Smokes…$88 for a pair of “track pants”, $98 for a shirt. (these on a 14 year old) I think I’d check out the Good Will or the school thrift shop. Glad we’re past all that. No wonder the birth rate is dropping.

Wait until you get to class and the teacher has other ideas abuot how to spend money. We have learned to wait until the teachers have their say. Some of them are very anal, the folder has to be blue, not navy blue or sky blue, but this blue. If the parents don’t get it right, your child is made miserable all semester

My grandson went to kindergarten last year. You could see who was a first child with new clothes and who had the hand-me-downs.

Being former USN, I have been overseas,Central America, South America, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Mediterranean, Middle East, North Africa, etc. and overall the Citizens actually seemed a lot Happier and Relaxed to me. Makes you think.

Bless you for your past service…
