A Christmas sweater would have baby Jesus on it, not a snowman. Tis a Holiday Sweater!

You could just call it winter break and leave it to the students to associate it with any holidays they may or may not celebrate.

Or you could do what my kids’ elementary did, and get all the kids excited about reindeer food and elf on the shelf. We ended up re-vamping our holiday celebrations to match our kids’ newfound expectations. I guess it was all to the good, but it was a bit of a shock at the time when the kids came home from school the week before break worrying about whether the reindeer would eat the bag of reindeer food or the elf toy the teacher had given them would move like in the story.
