To the colorist: the leaf should be brown or red or yellow or orange, not green.

Poor leaf was trying not to be first.
Our fall leaves are awful this year. No color, just dry, rusty looking.

Personally, I thought it was the first falling leaf of autumn, trying to make a flashy entrance …
there u go the definition of fall
Maybe it’s an oak leaf which turns color later in the season.
