It really is a Catch 22 – No rights until you ask for them, but if you ask for them then the officer/intergator can question you and use anything you say against you.

The only change in this process is a momentary invocation by the criminal before the proverbial zipping.

SCOTUS justices can’t be impeached (I think).

Anybody know? I don’t feel like looking it up.

In any case, tea-baggers aside, the reactionaries have won.

    And it was so cheap…

They can indeed be impeached, like any other federal judge, for violations of “good behavior.” To quote from http://www.congress.org:

“Impeachment trials can be very long, drawn out processes and happen rarely . Of all of the Supreme Court justices who have served, only one, Justice Samuel Chase, has ever been served with an impeachment. In 1805, Chase was found not guilty, and continued to serve on the court until his death in 1811.

“Including Chase, the House has only impeached 14 judges in its history. Seven were found guilty and removed from office, 4 were found not guilty, and 3 resigned before the Senate could rule.”

They don’t have to be allowing the domestic population to look at them in order to be engaging in spamming them internationally.

And in recent news, now if you’re a publicly financed candidate and you’re facing a rich candidate, they can horrendously outspend you with no matching. Go go power Conservative Supreme Court.

Go Eddie Haskell on them. It’s what they want. Your law enforcement interaction will be less unpleasant.

They make a law agianst what you’re going to do. You pay the cop to write the ticket, the judge to levy the fine, & the clerk to take your money. Maybe someone fills a pothole.

In the mean time, psome psycho psumnabich has a baby or a bomb hidden in the basement, but da’ cops iz bizzy.

They do do a meth-lab sweep of the desert, now & then. (Pun not intended, but works.)

first the sentence, THEN the trial( after the p-test b4 arraignment- thanks x-pres Clinton).

with 2 million students in criminal just-us degrees, w/student loans of $80,000, they simply MUST find “work”.

now we have 1/2 of the republic spying on, locking up, p-testing, back pack searching, probation /prison hearing the other half, it is what the Republicans call: “jobs”.

That’s just wrong. But I would agree with removing the part about them asking if they understand the rights, because it’s just an excuse for some obstinate loser to think he’s original and say “no”.

Going around flagging ‘em; click the user (name or avatar), then follow the list of their comment posts…

Take the ‘Boulder Pledge’ - don’t buy anything from spammers, EVER!

There’ll always be a few gulls that’ll bite, but some active opposition will cut down the profit from it.
