A quick background of myself and the spammer. I clicked on “come.2” and went to the homepage. There is a list of websites visited. I started to click on these and flag and then return to their homepage, repeat. I soon discovered that the bot was following me and reposting everyone I flagged. I left the site and started just flagging in the comments as I went along. My computer froze. It would not load the comics. I went off the internet and tried to reload the site. Google would not even load for Windows 8. I tried Ask and others. No luck. I then ran my AVG 9 cleaner and rebooted my computer. 2 1/2 hours later, here I am. Beware this thing has a survival mode.
JDG We can flag the spammers and comment all we want but nothing will control them without direct human monitoring from gocomics. The way this website is designed it permits and encourages the free exchange of comments and that keeps us at a disadvantage.
A posting delay might be imposed to look for and catch duplicates. It could stop any spammers but it’s not likely to happen.
