To all those, I assume well meaning people, who jumped on my comment yesterday but immediately turned it into a right vs. left type of harangue. I specifically said Stantis should move on from Hillary as he has made his point, not to move on to say just Republicans or just Democrats. Just move on to other politicians because the bench is so deep on both sides and there is so much fun to be had with them all. Your responses to my statement really shines a light on what is wrong with simple political discourse, or in this case political humor or the lack thereof. In other words just chill a bit, life ain’t that bad and every statement is not an attack against your particular point of view. Sheesh!
Go back and re-read your post. If you were as reasonable yesterday as you seem today, I would not have responded. You couldn’t wait to trot out the “hate” word. Simple political discourse does not accuse someone you don’t know of hate. That’s uncivil and deserves sharp response.
Darsan, I’ll bet you a diet Dr. Pepper we have two weeks on Trump from Stantis, beginning in another week or so. Although I suppose Trump is technically a democrat since he has given so much more to them over the years; recall he was big on single payer healthcare too. Trump has held more leftist positions than Chris Christie and Charlie Crist combined. Stantis would do well to play on how Trump is fooling so many republican voters.
What kind of gets me is this:.We know that Stantis isn’t happy with Republican candidates (though the two-plus week lag time in publishing these strips, we haven’t heard what Scott may have to say about Trump)..Heaven knows we know what he thinks about Hillary..The surprise of this week to me, at least, is how Scott is cozying up to Bernie Sanders..Is this who Scott Stantis plans to endorse for president?
His name is still on it…although to be fair, the blurb does not mention his name. And the strip has been so much better over the last few years that I can actually read it. So you might be right.
