Crony Capitalism worries me much less than Crony Socialism

FYI : The USA is not a democracy and furthermore if it was a democracy you would not like the results of the voting and would demand judicial intervention … which is pretty much what is happening.

Scalia is an intelligent man, even has somewhat of a sense of humor; too bad he hates all elements of individual freedom in the Constitution, except for corporations with “personhood”. Odd as an "originalist: how he and his wag tail Thomas consistently want to burn that original document. (and write law far more than “liberals”)

Well, the Supreme Court session is over. Now Scalia and Alito have free time to appear at Republican fund raisers.

@wmconellyDo you have any idea what NAZI stands for? In case you don’t, which I’m sure you don’t; stands for National SOCIALIST Party. Nazism is very much, in regards to policies, and doctrine, like socialism and communism. Actually is much closer to democrat policies than to republicans. The only difference between socialism/communism and the Nazis, is that the Nazis were more into the occult and superstition. What you may not be aware is that what you and many others, call “the Left” is nothing more than the gateway to socialism/communism, which in turn can’t not exist without a dictator. case in point: Cuba and Fidel, Venezuela and Chavez, etc.

All that chauvinism, xenophobia, racism, and reactionary views are all alive and kicking in all socialist regimes, why do you think we all run away from it. No what I gave you was right wing socialism. When you look at NAZI and say socialism you leave out National. Do these things sound familiar – Liberal are not true Americans, hatred of immigrants, you liberals are so soft better get ready to wear burkas, Obama is a Muslim, Obama is not an American, the US is a Christian Nation, rich envy, I could go on. These are all “disregard or disdain for egalitarianism, if not overt support for social inequality and social hierarchy, elements of social conservatism”. Why do you think racist do not call themselves liberals? Sure like you say All that chauvinism, xenophobia, racism, and reactionary views are all alive and kicking in all socialist regimes, why do you think we all run away from it. but this not liberal socialism. Why do you think conservatives defend the Confederate Flag on government grounds that cannot even be flown at half mask? Liberal socialism is more like the Scandinavian countries. They of course are chomping at the bit to come to the USA. The sane Conservatives in the US only think about shrinking the debit (which I am for) or and limiting regulation ( I am for limiting it to what is needed). There is this whole other Conservative Socialism that has hitched itself to that conservatism. I do not think most people make the distinction or realize that there is Conservative Socialism. The whole thing does not make me wonder and I am not surprised you do not know the differences.

@PainterArtYou poor soul, the only thing you have are academic definitions of socialism, the kind university professor love to teach their naive students, especially journalism students. However, such academic definitions are so far removed from reality that is almost makes me want to cry for you. The true practice of socialism has been defined for a very long time by many dictators from Stalin, to Mao, to now days tyrants. Socialism has been and it is practiced by purposely keeping people ignorant, poor and afraid, that is a reality. What you have spent so much effort in try to convince yourself (what socialism is) is nothing more that Capitalism with social programs. Canada has it, so does England, and a host of other countries. But calling it liberal socialism is an insult, when everyone is well aware of the horrors of socialism. The key word in all this is Reality, we can dream definitions all day long, but at the end of the day we all need to come to the sad realization that we still have to deal with human nature. Murderers like Stalin, Mao, Fidel, etc. will somehow come to power and put all academic definitions down the drain, and work hard at subjugating their own people and the rest of the world.

Just because a party or country’s name has socialism it must be socialism. There is no right wing socialism, keep telling that to yourself.Stalin, Mao, Fidel, and other tyrants are all dictators. Dictators need to control every aspect of society to maintain power some of that is a feigned socialism but I have never met a dictator that actually cared for all their people or cared if there were many poor. They also are against free market capitalism, but are for economic capitalism where they are the winners.Personally I am not for an economic socialist system of all things being equal. I would say US liberals are less worried about the rich than the gap and trying to eliminate hunger, homelessness, and being poor as much as possible. We are for a fair system where everyone is treated equally has an equal opportunity. Capitalism does not guarantee equal treatment or opportunity. Without any government intervention you will have rampant abuse of both labor and customers and plenty of poor. In capitalism people do not matter, money does.
