    So WHY were those two artists tethered together? As for the Yakustk burials, how do they preserve the bodies in the non-summer until then?

    I think an olympic sprinter would go a lot faster if he/she were running down a steep slope. (Especially if there was some of that flowing lava involved.)

    WHAT! I can run faster than 6.2 MPH and I am overweight and half crippled at 77, maybe even 10 MPH?

    Lava flows can be quite variable in speed. Depends on the type of lava slope of the ground etc. Pyroclastic flows can really move. The one at Mt. St. Hellens started at about 220 mph and accelerated to 670 mph. If you’re in range it’s pretty much “place your head between your knees.”

    I was taught that Permafrost was frozen solid all year long. If it thaws, it’s not permafrost.
