Good morning Vagabonds. We had our rain yesterday. Not too hard, sometimes light but steady. The garden got a good soaking so I don’t have to water. Good weather returning until the fourth with a possibility of a shower in the morning.

@DAVID, then start working on your genealogy and maybe you’ll find you’re related to that Indian chieftain’s white mother’s family.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Yes, I’m almost finished with a 5-pound container of honey labeled “Dutch Gold.” There’s no Cost-co near me in NY and the only person in NY who belonged to Cost-co lived far from me and when he bought things for me, he wouldn’t tell me the price, so I had to call Cost-co to find the price and give him the money when he brought me the stuff. I felt it was his way of saying that it was too much for him to do, so I no longer ask him.

As for BJ, last week the regular store I go to had a sign that eggs were expensive due to an egg shortage, so I asked my friend to get eggs at BJ. They were even more than the regular store ($3 a dozen). Now this week, Walgreens has eggs for $1.49 a dozen. It’s like playing the stock market.

Happy Monday Vagabonds. (ya right).Gloomy dark day, rather depressing..As for the escapees, one has been shot and killed, the other has been shot and captured, and is in the hospital in Albany, NY in critical condition. With the trip to Albany being three hours I would have thought they would have sent him by Ambulance, nope. He’s still kicking this morning..Well, that’s the good news..May your way be as pleasant..ttfn

Good Morning, Everyone in the Village,

We’ve been watching the alignment of Venus and Jupiter these last few weeks. It’s fun to see how it changes each night. They’re pretty close together now, but by the end of the week they should be really, really close. Of course, they’re light years away from each other, but they are still close!

Another 100.4 degrees yesterday. Can’t wait for this heat wave to break!

Arye, we pay 1.95/dozen for extra large/jumbo eggs. They are way fresher at this little market, who sells them from a local farm. They’re marked extra large because they don’t have boxes for jumbo. Most of them are super large. And, the pull date is usually 3 or 4 weeks away. We were tired of buying the larger quantities at Costco, and having the pull date for a week or two away, and on top of that, more expensive.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Today will be busy. Housekeepers this morning and I need to shop for tomorrow’s two pot-luck style meals. It’s my turn to provide lunch for our card group tomorrow morning, and in the evening the church is having a pot-luck to celebrate the life of a long-time member who went home to the Lord last week.

I have managed to talk Michael into using my car for a while instead of his in our “one car experiment”. I like my car better than his. So far we are doing okay with it. My only minor complaint is that I have to be up, showered and dressed by the time he’s ready to leave. I suppose that’s a good thing…..

No decisions yet about the cancer treatment. He hasn’t said a word and I can’t push (he asked me not to).

Weather is still well above 100 every day for the forecastable future. Today we get a bit of a cool spell, though. It will only be 104.

Jan……………One lady came to our cancer support group meeting to ask what treatments, surgeries, etc. anyone in the group had for breast cancer. She needed to make up her mind, and wanted to know what we all went through. Perhaps M. can either hook up with such a group, or check out the on line groups and ask his questions. There is always a different perspective from someone who has gone through what he is facing, than what the doctor is telling him.
