I didn’t know this but outside the U.S. ‘Waffling’ means meaningless speech. (Thanks Wikipedia.) Inside the U.S. it usually refers to a politicians tendency to change positions without conviction.

I always wonder why politicians don’t just collect their over inflated pensions and just quietly leave when they are done dipping in the trough?
