^Obviously it wasn’t a middle eastern type then. This guy got out of the SUV and walked away. He was planning on being safe and sound when the timer went off.
The first 10 minutes of his speech are essentially a condemnation of the use of nuclear weapons in fact, as deterrents, and as threats. He points out that the U.S. and a few allies are the only nations to use nuclear arsenals in this way, and that we continue to threaten Iran and other countries with their use.
The US delegation walks out at about 13 minutes, when Ahmadinajad says that non-nuclear states have been blocked from developing nuclear power for peaceful purposes by the U.S. and the other nuclear states.
What’s untrue about any of this?
The ‘walkout’ strategy which was clearly ordered by someone who comes in and speaks in our representative’s ear, is SO childish. Listening to someone is NOT a signal that you agree with what they have to say, it is the first step toward resolution of problems.
I wish ALL of our State Department and international negotiators had training and experience in issue-based negotiation, so that they had more options in their toolkit besides pouting, na-na-na, walking out, and insisting that other people agree with us first, before we’ll listen to what they have to say.

While he’s here, we should check for rabies.
Hillary needs to realize that when you argue with a fool, pretty soon its hard to tell who the fool really is.

I don’t think Toles is blaming Iran, he’s just comparing the potential explosiveness of his presence at the Non-Proliferation Treaty conference.

I’m still surprized. Muslim terrorists usually want to be blown apart along with everybody else and die “martyrs”.

Bilword, I agree. I used to have a high opinion of Toles. New he’s acting like a fully-owned subsidiary of VetVotes.

Oh yeah? They why did he leave the car instead of making sure it blew up? If he’d been serious, he would have held the match himself.
There’s something else going on here, but it’s too early to say what.

This incident seems like a prime candidate for a conspiracy theory to me…
Though religiously-motivated terrorists want to die for their God, it’s not impossible that one of them try to pull the attack without dying…
…unlikely, but not impossible.
