Or get the point of this bill, either. He set up a straw man. The statement as given is fine. The law they enacted is not. A more accurate statement would be “I think we should allow police to harass anyone they have any doubts about (with no explicit criteria required by law) and ask them for citizenship papers at will and despite the Fourth Amendment clause against search and seizure, just because they might find an illegal alien once in a while.”
Is it possible that the misspelling is on purpose, as to signal that the ‘donkey’ itself may be a non-citizen, as most illegals do indeed vote for democrats … .?
“Is it possible that the misspelling is on purpo as to signal that the ‘donkey’ itself may be a n citizen, as most illegals do indeed vote for democrats … .?”
When we came back into the U. S. from Canada, and again coming back for New Zealand, we had to show our passports at point of entry, and prove we were citizens. THAT is NOT a problem, and IS the law.
Being pulled over a block from my house, where I’m the third or fourth generation U.S. citizen who has owned that house, and asked to prove my citizenship, based on the color of my skin, or make of my car, or whatever rings a cop’s chimes that day, IS the break point in the Arizona law.
This immigration problem has always been the problem of both parties.
There is nothing wrong with enforcing immigration laws ( and many Hispanic citizens agree). It is a fact of life and not racist to say that most illegals come over from Mexico so a disproportionate number will be mexican.
A crime is a crime is a crime. Not having to show some ID ( while being questioned about a crime) is as stupid as not having to show ID at the voting booth.

We are all citizens of the United States of America and are all protected by the documents of our nation.
Remember the war back in the mid 1800’s? That was about states governing themselves also, just that some were misgoverning.

The lefties make a habit of not reading, and much less to understand, legislation they seek to enact, and laws that they seek to overturn.
They are controlled by raw emotions, akin to a horny 18-year old boy, or a PMS suffering biach.
Ignorance is bliss?!
The AZ law, for example, uses the verbatim language of the relevant federal statute … .

Neither do dead people or animals, and yet, ACORN and a host of other organizations have proven otherwise …
