Kid Sister’s Bassett Hound (Short stack) would come over and lean on my leg, just being friendly. I tried to teach him to bring me a beer too, but it didn’t take.
My last dog would sit next to me and when I stopped petting ,she would pat my thigh with her paw until I started again !Hahahahaha So I can say for a fact that dogs petting humans works !
My dad had a lab that would lay by his chair and if he took his hand off his head the dog would find it and throw it in the air with his nose to get his attention again.
is it “petting” if it’s with the tongue? Or the little nose (when used gently)? As my furchild points out,she has no hands and has to make do with other options
