We can all pile on these small lapses in judgement but I think the real crime here is an Inspector General that doesn’t monitor and manage behavior of High Level Government Officials.

What we really need is an overhaul of How the Government Governs itself so that we citizens can be confident that they are acting in the Best Interest of the Taxpayers.

And for those of you who want to scold me for partisanship – I would say this same thing if it was Bush and Cheny, I will say, however, that for a man who promised the most transparent government yet – Obama has run the murkiest executive office I have ever seen. We are truly fortunate that we had heros like Snowden to show us how corrupt and incompetent his administration had become.

Private server, who has one? Talk about wanting to control everything.Things aren’t much different than Lerner’s “lost hard drive and all her emails”. I retired from a federal agency that I managed a local computer system. Back up tapes were required daily for the continuation of government services in case of a catastrophe, i.e., 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, etc.

As soon as her lawyer said her computer hard drive failed and she lost all her email, 99.9+% of the computer specialist in the country said that’s a lie. She lost the email on her computer but there were backup tapes.

Hillary’s computer specialist made backup tapes. They may be destroyed by now, but she’s going to have to pay that computer person big bucks forever to keep them quiet. Copies of copies are easy to make.

“She is in trouble. Real trouble. And playing naive will not help her this time.”.Good post..I don’t think this will permanently derail her, though I am baffled that it seems to be gaining so much traction..Your point #1 is probably the most relevant to this whole mess. Most jobs your email is assigned on that first day..She’ll weather this just fine. The closer to election 2016 the more the mainstream press will overlook any hint of corruption from Hillary because they won’t want to risk a Republican in the White House.

It’s too “inconvenient” for her to keep track of two separate Email accounts, but screw the rest of us. Royalty at its finest!

You are correct…. I should have said 100% of the Computer Managers are required to prepare and manage Continuation of Operations Plans as one of their primary duties.https://www.fema.gov/continuity-operations

Let’s see all of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, and Wolfowitz’s private emails and correspondence for the whole time they were “government folks”. Declare ALL their government correspondence open as well, and ignore the “W” Bush E.O. banning revelation of his daddy’s and his own “stuff”.

    Mr. Benson…

Could you kindly show us the drawing you did when the George W. Bush administration got caught using RNC email servers based in Tennessee, and then lost 5 million of those emails to boot?!?

I’m sure your drawing of that incident is a real hoot.

No comments on the Nixon nose? Well done Mr. Benson. How about an Amendment: Congress shall pass no law exempting anyone, especially itself.Fair Labor Standards Act,1938Civil Rights Act, 1964etc., etc., like most American’s, it’s too boring wading through the legalese for all examples.Which brings us to the Plain English Amendment; if the average High School graduate can’t understand, it’s not valid.
