A bill from Congress with the phrase “internet privacy” is like the missile Reagan was so fond of, called the Peacekeeper. Very Newspeakish. And the situation is unlikely to change without serious effort. The only thing the politicians respect is the power of the box, whether it be soap, ballot, or ammo. And they’ve pretty much locked up all of those for themselves. I think only the ballot box has the potential to be taken back.
