Ages ago, my brother took our mom to the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. After having been there for a while, a nurse told my brother that our mom was still being evaluated; but the shifts were changing and she (the nurse) was going off; however, she would advise the incoming shift that he was out there waiting for word. Many hours later, so I was told, he grabbed someone by the collar and demanded to know what was going on with Mom. She’d been admitted and no one had told him. Hospital dropped that ball big time.
