I am too short for this one: going right over my head.

There’s a “shadow” in the portrait that supposedly represents Lewinsky’s blue dress.

I can’t disagree with Old Coal. However little I think of Clinton, the painter was commisioned to paint a portrait. The artist should have left his agenda at the door.

I notice that most of the comments missed the story about the portrait..

(I’m not sure how many newspapers would have known what the shadow was if the artist hadn’t been sure to tell them.)

Good idea. They should just take ‘selfies’ (and have them enlarged) from now on.

Um, fuming lefties? This guy is one of yours. Go RTFA. He captures in his (dozens of) very highly-regarded portraits the essence of person in front of him. He spends hours and hours talking with the person to get to know them better, as he did Clinton. The dude liked Clinton and his work, but unlike you slobbering acolytes he felt betrayed. He captured Bill the best way possible and nobody even consciously realized it and likely would never have had the dude kept it to himself.

If only. Both your example and mine will be ignored.Dude, if Maddow and ilk aren’t spoon feeding these idiots the information, then it simply doesn’t exist. Inform/remind them again and again that Bush relied on the best information at the time with which every nation agreed that Iraq had WMDs (and we still have the receipts for the ones we gave them!) and they still chimp-scream the mantra “BUSH LIED!!!”They’re helpless, ignorant, stupid, and hopeless.

“…Back in the day when people had manners and decorum, gentlemen NEVER talked about their trysts to protect the reputation of the women involved. It was equally bad manners to demand that a man tell about such things in public.”.Up to here you are absolutely correct. The tragedy of the situation was the country knew who Bill Clinton was (is) and if he had told the truth, the country would have collectively shrugged it’s shoulder’s and said “whatever”, but he looked at the country, wagged a finger as if saying “how DARE you question my integrity!!”..He would still have his law license, had he chose the truth.

Bill became President and got blown. “W” became President and over 5,000 American troops, and 200,000 Afghan and Iraqi civilans got blown – - UP! Which caused the most damage?

My Dad worked for Kennedy and knew about Kennedy’s affairs at the time. It was a fairly open secret in official circles, but the press gave it a pass. As they gave other presidents a pass.
