Books are such wonderful things. I know the trend now is towards e-readers, but for me, nothing can replace the feel of a book in my hands.

And because we can only read books through our own filters, it’s a different book at 50 than it was at 20. Rereading “Catcher in the Rye” later in life taught me a lot about perspective.Love books!

Its a reality-suspending ritual, and, like you say, an experience just a little different enough to be both familiar and novel at the same time.

I am far more addicted to reading than to any other similar activity.. the net loses out to books quite often, and I don’t even own a tv.

I wonder about these reports of people not reading. I hear of an about to be released book, go to the library hold list and find I’m #642. If they don’t read, why are they getting in my way?
