    They already did some time ago, by adding 33 new agencies under “W”.

    The country will suffer colateral damage, but:

    It’s OKAY if a Republican does it.

    You’ll notice that Republicans wouldn’t think twice about blowing up homeland security if they thought Obama would get the blame.

    Wouldn’t have to threaten anything if Obama hadn’t gone around Congress and the will of the people in the first place. We don’t need 5 million new work permits and Social Security numbers when millions of AMERICANS are out of work.

    And were does that Federal judge reside? Texas of course. More conservative delaying tactics. Anything but trying to get something done. I guess the Republicans are just going to screw things up until the election and then they hope to really be able to screw things up.

    I say defund everything and start over. There are so many layers of government that most of the money we send to Washington is wasted on redundant, overlapping programs.

    That should be “Give me what we need” to protect the country.

    Just interesting that if Saint Ronnie or his nephew “W” do it, it’s blessed by God and the Constitution, but if Obama (or Clinton for that matter) do the same thing, it’s satanic and illegal.

    THAT is the difference between even radical conservatives and their more rational kin, who are FAR fewer in number today(threatened species almost).

    When facts aren’t necessary, it should mean failure, but it doesn’t on the far right, and yes, occasionally on the FAR left as well, but that disputes whether those “liberals” are in realtiy liberal, just as radicalism denies so many “deniers” legititmate claim to the title “conservative” as well.

    @logicalone: re. “local militias” & “50 or 60 guys”

    I think that there are a significant number of people who are somewhat concerned about this. So, for what it’s worth:Full disclosure: I own guns, but I’m neither NRA nor antigun.Rationally, I would be slightly more worried by the possibility of somebody forming up a local militia, vs. the 50 or 60 guys scenario.The probability of both is pretty low (just my opinion — the opinions of others will certainly vary) but we have seen some cases of 50 or 60 guys with guns fairly recently in the US, and they don’t seem to be at all disciplined, nor do I see much good judgement being displayed.On the other hand, if the 50 or 60 guys have, say, US Army uniforms and a commander, and legal orders, my anxiety level will go down.
