Kind of a just reward for the being the sort of person that would spend money and time to mock people enjoying something completely harmless, eh?

I mean not liking Journey is one thing, but to go out of one’s way to be a passive-aggressive twit at a concert and call it “subversion” like you’re undermining Neo-nazis instead of a pop band’s fans by laughing at them behind their backs…

I mean I was a pretentious twit in high school too, but I sort of realize now the things I did were often worse than the people I was judging.

I had a similar experience with “Staind” opening up for “Kid Rock” My friend and I were like “Who are these dorks?” And ignored them troughout their set as we leaned on the uncrowded stage. But unlike when Wheeler hears Journey, I can’t stand any “Staind” songs whatsoever!

I can’t say I ever had that experience I went and saw a few bands I thought of as crappy with only one popular song on the radio, but was surprised how good they were live.

Neal Schon, lead guitarist for Journey, played the oboe in his high school band. I know this because I sat right behind him.
