Senator Cruz is a puppet of the Texas oil industry. They say no climate change (such an idea might impact their profits), therefore Ted says no climate change.

This is very typical of Washington. Appointing those who know little or nothing about space or science onto Congressional sub-committees on space & science. Then we wonder why the U.S. is dead last in the world on both these subjects.
