    Um… Keller was also blind, not just deaf. I’m sure Dean wrote the report in braille.

    I once made a working telegraph for a history report. I got a B because clearly I had some help from my parents. I don’t know why she thought this: it’s a pretty simple device and my version was very crude.

    Oral report. So.. yes, sign language. Her sign language was particularly odd, because it required touching her hands to others, or vice versa, due to her not being able to see. The one place this falls apart a little, to me, is if he was giving it to the whole class, well, its not as good for crowds! Did he have an assistant? Did the teacher provide hands to “listen”? Would anyone even know if he did it correctly?

    You best get permission first. I did do a term “paper” in Folklore by taping (reel to reel) some folksongs I had collected, plus recorded commentary. A classmate who was WAC in New Guinea in WW-II threatened to do hers in Pidgin, but backed out, although the subject ultimately was in the folklore of that region.
