    Tonto means “stupid” in Spanish. “Kemo Sabe” is a joke for “Quién lo sabe”—“Who Knows.”

    Are the horses names in the hat? It’s Christmas for them also. That could cause a little more anticipation as to whose name was drawn. HUMM, now what could a horse’s secret gift be?

    Fran Striker, the writer who created The Lone Ranger and coined the term, “Kemo Sabe”, said it meant “Trusted Friend”, and originally both TLR and Tonto used it towards each other.
