Do like my Dad used to do, he’d lay a pair of pliers or a screwdriver down, it’d get covered up with something(and thus lost) so he’d just go out and buy another. Which is why he had 108 pairs of Crescent brand pliers when he died.
I’m pretty fastidious about putting my tools away but my wife takes them when she needs them and doesn’t return them to their proper place. I bought her her own tool set but she still takes mine anyway.

I lay a tool down and my wife promptly moves to where she wants it. Then claims I didn’t put it where I thought I put it.

Whenever I need a screwdriver, I always check my bar first. Unless I am out of vodka or orange juice, I’ll have that “tool” in no time…
